Demonica Series:
Book 3:
Passion Unleashed: Wraith and Serena Kelley
Summary:
Of the three brothers Wraith is the most unstable and selfish, he doesn’t do anything unless it directly benefits him or sometimes his brothers. He thinks he doesn’t care if he lives or dies, until he is dying. His “loving” brother Roag is determined to get his revenge even after his death and sends an assassin to kill him and he is hit with a poison that has no antidote. Thankfully, the brothers hear of a human woman (Serena Kelly) that is “charmed” so that nothing can kill her including a disease or poison and all Wraith has to do is seduce her… Perfect, right?! The fate of the world rests around Serena’s neck. She goes about her “charmed” life, treasure hunting and teasing vampires, life is pretty good! To continue her charmed life all she has to do is remain a virgin for the rest of her life, if she has sex her partner gains the charm and she will die. Wraith hate humans, especially human women, after his torturous past can you really blame him? He does not relish what he is about to do but as he is facing death he finds that maybe he doesn’t have such a death wish after all, he wants to live. Posing as a Guardian Josh, he finds Serena in Egypt. He quickly finds that there are many demons after her, one in particular who is very aggressive. He wants to know why these demons are after her, she is his charm damn it and no one else’s. As Serena and Wraith battle demons and treasure hunt, Wraith does the unthinkable and falls for Serena. For once he cares about something more than himself and he is willing to die to save Serena’s life until… he finds out two things, his life is tied to his bothers, if he dies they die and the necklace Serena holds is the key to saving the world… Now what is a Vampire/Demon to do?
Review:
This book is nonstop action, I could not put the book down, I had to see what was going to happen next! I love Wraith, I can’t help it but I have a thing for tattooed tortured men, look back to Zsadist (Black Dagger Brotherhood), Conrad (Immortals after Dark) and Aeron (Lords of the Underworld), it’s a problem I know. J In one of Serena and Wraiths conversations Serena asks Wraith if he is a “bad boy” and he responds “I’m as bad as they get” LOVE IT! Don’t judge me. LOL! Serena is the perfect balance for Wraith because of her enthusiasm and love of life; she shows him that he can love life as well and not live in the past. This book will have several surprises that I didn’t see coming, don’t worry I won’t tell you what they are you have to read to find out!
