Book 13:
Born to Bite: Armand Argeneau and Eshe d’Aureus
Summary:
Armand has been living a solitary life for the past several centuries, after the death of his past three wives he is beginning to think that he is cursed. When his brother comes to him asking if he wouldn’t mind giving Eshe one of his enforcers a safe place for a couple of weeks he is reluctant but gives in because he has been lonely and a female companion may be just what he needs. Eshe is one of the few female enforcers and knows how to handle herself, so she is a little bit insulted that her cover into entering into Armands life is that she is hiding from someone trying to kill her. Eshe’s real mission is to find out if Armand has been killing his wives; his son’s very life depends on what Eshe finds out. So imagine the kink in those plans when Eshe and Armand realize that they are each other’s life mate. How is she supposed to investigate if all she can think about is how to get him into the nearest bed? When all these “accidents” start happening finding out what happened to Armands wives becomes the utmost importance because Eshe likes where her head is just fine, thank you very much!
Review:
This novel is defiantly action packed both in and out of the bedroom. For me, who the killer was pretty evident from early on but that did not detract from the investigation at all. I defiantly enjoyed the story, one thing that I would have changed is that Eshe is an enforcer but she didn’t do much enforcing, it seemed like Armand had to do most of the saving and I do enjoy when the female ends up saving the male. So I would have had some more female a$$ kicking.
