Goddess in the Middle:

One of the original party girls, Amity, Etruscan Goddess of Health, cut a swath through the gorgeous young men of Italy…before it was Italy.
 
Back when Rome had yet to be built and the Etruscans, along with the Greeks, were major powers in the Mediterranean, Amity was called Munthukh and she and her twin sister, Kari, Goddess of Healing, spent their nights drinking the God of the Vine’s wine and indulging their desires.
 
“She was such a minor goddess in comparison to Lucy and Tessa. Even when she’d been in full command of her powers, all those millennia ago, she’d never been what most people might call popular.
 
Sure, she’d had followers but, mostly, she’d been worshiped only when someone was gravely ill. That made for a lot of weeping people and, though she was always glad to help, it was slightly depressing.
 
Before Paris Hilton, before Marie Antoinette… Hell, before Cleopatra, she and Kari had been the original party girls, drinks in one hand and a man, or two, on the other.
 
And really, who could blame them? It’d been their way of decompressing from the death and destruction inherent in their duties.”
 
Amity was always happy to be of use, when she could. Sometimes she could do nothing because she was forbidden by Nortia, Goddess of Fate. Sometimes she jumped in even if she hadn’t been called. She can’t abide suffering of any kind.
 
Unlike the Greek gods, who lived apart from humans, the Etruscans lived with their people so Amity was always around. Her people knew they only had to offer up a prayer—and maybe a little sacrifice (wine is always appreciated!)— to find her when they needed her. Or just check for the nearest party.
 
But like all good things, the Etruscans’ time ended. Most of their people were assimilated into the Roman culture and their race dwindled.
 
The deities began to lose their powers and now, Amity spends most of her time working in a hospital helping cancer patients and accident and abuse victims. She likes being useful.
 
Unfortunately, she’s also become the target of Charun, God of the Underworld, who wants to consume her remaining powers.
 
Now, Amity is a lover, not a fighter. She needs help. She needs a hero. And since two are always better than one, she’s lucky to find a pair of Etruscan werewolves. Remy and Rom are perfect for her—tough, determined and gorgeous. Who wouldn’t want those two as personal protection?
 
Amity, Remy and Rom have their hands full in GODDESS IN THE MIDDLE, saving Amity from Charun, falling in love and protecting the Etruscans from becoming obsolete.
 
Sounds like a big job…but just think of the party afterward!
