Review:

I’ve had this book on my TBR shelf for YEARS, just years, sitting there doing nothing, collecting cyberdust.. Do you have any idea how hard I was smacking myself for not reading this book years ago, like when I got it? Whats even more funny about it, is I had already read ALL of the Chaos Series, every last one of them. Tack and Cherry are staples in those books and I still hadn’t read their book. Shame on me!

So anyway as I'm sure you could tell from my mini rant and kicking of my own ass, I really loved this book. Once I read this one I had to go back and re-read all of the Chaos books as well. Incase you didn’t know.. Tack is an asshole, he’s always been an asshole and will always be an asshole; but he’s an asshole with a heart of gold so you really can’t get too mad at him when he opens his mouth and says some assholish thing probably because it comes from a place of love. He’s also protective, loyal and a good (ish) father, well he loves his kids with all of his heart. When he takes someone into his “family” you know Tack has your back in whatever way you need him to be and you really can’t ask for more than that.

Tyra AKA Cherry, she is not an asshole. She’s actually pretty sweet, but she stands up to Tack. He had already written her off as a one night stand but when he tries to fire her for sleeping with him; he learns that Tyra is no pushover.. All of the sudden things shift. Tack likes a woman that will stand up to him, and Tyra has no problems doing that. It becomes an entertaining battle of wills between Tack and Cherry, moments of super sweet with bursts of fire! Tack and Tyra have their thing going but as a subplot there is Tyra’s BFF Lanni. They are real tight and since Tyra and Lanni are tight, Lanni is now tight with Chaos. Tyra will not give up on her friend, even when it would certainly be safer to do so. She is loyal to the core and a good friend. I love Tyra and Lanni’s friendship. I loved Cherry and Tack’s relationship. I loved this book. Just writing this makes me want to go re-read it. : )
